I hate it when able-bodied people take the elevator from the first floor to the second.
I see this all the time when I get into work in the mornings. Drives me nuts.
Don't they feel bad at all?

Its hard to find the stairs in our building. Thats why they do it. Stop being so judgmental. :)
Maybe that's true over on your side of the building, but on my side the stairs are easy to find.
Seems a pretty small thing.
Is the problem that they are holding up the elevator for people that go to higher floors?
Exactly!
It doubles my commute time.
I used to get ticked off about the same thing. Then I learned that in our building, most of the doors from the stairs to each floor are locked. I walk down at night, but would not be able to walk up.
Our firm has its own stairs between our two floors, but I would guess that cost a lot of money.
I find it even more of a peeve when the elevator stops on the 2nd floor to pick someone up on the way down to one.
They should just make elevators that don't even start until the 3rd or fourth floor. Except then some clown would ride the elevator from the 4th floor to the 5th. I'm no help.
No.
