After leaving Zagreb, we stopped at Plitvice National Park which contains numerous waterfalls and lakes. Fresh snow lay on the walkways so hiking around on the boardwalks was tricky in places, but the views were wonderful.
I'm sure the view are even more stunning in the summer.

How did you come to choose Slovenia as a destination? It looks to be an interesting and beautiful place, just a little off the usual toursit destination.
Travel Zoo Top 20 had a special last fall for $1000 pp for an escorted tour, air & hotel with breakfast from Gate 1 Travel. The dates were good for spring break so we went for it. Caribbean cruises were getting, do I dare say, "boring?"
Nice Anne. Imagine what those falls would have been like during the snow melt.
Those falls were certainly worth the trip. Georgeous!
