I did the numbers comparing a corolla to a prius. Assuming the Prius would save us 40% on our gas (a very, very optimistic estimate) it would take us 12 years to recoup the $10,000 additional cost of the vehicle. Of course the corolla doesn’t come with the status you get with a prius, but since I can’t figure out how to parley status to college savings or retirement funds, I’m not interested. In other words, good on you for making a well reasoned purchase.

great little car - how was it on the highway? not that I intend to buy a new vehicle anytime soon, but you never know :)
Feels pretty good on the highway, good mileage too, over 35 on the first tank.
How is Kevin taking the big change?
Cute. Very nice little choice I think.
Great milage without paying for that over-priced/hyped Prius.
Kevin seems to like the new car.
The difference in price is about 1800 gallons of gas. for what that's worth.
My daughter gives you a thumbs up! She thinks that's the car for her. I think she should be getting a job....
Somehow a Blazing Fit seems appropriate.
