JM, it does. I've tried several different cycles and things look good. I used the pre-wash cycle on a color sock load and they look amazing. These are the socks The Girl will wear without shoesyuck!
I did notice the clothes don't smell like fabric softener as much as before. I guess with all the rinsing and spinning, the smell is almost gone. I won't be able to tell if the effect is gone as well until a low humidity day.
I think its interesting how good reliability is on a lot of items. The old washer came with the house and so had worked problem free for at least 12 years. Chances are it was at least 5 years old when we got it, so thats 17 years of appliance life. When I think of it that way, I don't feel bad about the cost of replacement. But the new one better last twice as long.
